After careful consideration and collecting interviews from students, faculty, and staff, we are extremely proud to launch the BGLTQ at Harvard Visibility Campaign. We wanted to organize a photo campaign that not only highlighted but celebrated the diversity of Harvard's BGLTQ campus community, particularly individuals who are underrepresented or often overlooked by the public eye. While some participants had their portrait taken for the campaign, others sent in photos of objects that are meaningful to them; there are many ways of being "out," whatever that may mean to each person. We hope that this is the first of several waves of the campaign, and that we can showcase many ways of being a BGLTQ individual on Harvard's campus.
