Gender and Sexuality Workshops

Have questions about gender and sexuality? Want to be more supportive of the BGLTQ community? The Harvard College Office of BGLTQ Student Life invites you to join us for Thinking Queerly, a 90-minute, interactive workshop, to explore some of these questions and more.

Thinking Queerly aims to create a more BGLTQ informed and inclusive campus climate with queer and trans people as full participating members of our sexually-diverse and gender-diverse communities. We do this by:

  1. Discussing issues and concepts related to the BGLTQ community and queer theory
  2. Encouraging participants to examine their own assumptions about gender and sexuality
  3. Questioning the structures underpinning our normative perceptions of identity

Thinking Queerly is open to all members of the Harvard College community, including students, student groups, administrators, and faculty. Workshops are led by members of our staff, including our undergraduate student interns. To request a workshop for your group, contact bgltq@fas.harvard.edu.

In addition to workshops, we’re happy to work with your group on particular questions you have and/or issues you've encountered related to gender and sexuality. Please reach out to bgltq@fas.harvard.edu to start the conversation.
