Join the Harvard College Women's Center, the Office of BGLTQ+ Student LifeSHADE, and ABHW for a discussion on building community accountability after violence against trans womxn of color.
Trans womxn of color experience violence at a disproportionate rate on Harvard's campus and beyond.

This year, over 20+ trans womxn and gender non-conforming individuals have been killed, with trans womxn of color making up the majority of the victims.
The AAU Sexual Assault Survey reported that 43.7% of students who identified as TGQN (trans man or womxn, genderqueer or nonbinary, questioning) experienced sexual harrassment.

Join us on Trans Remembrance Day as we reflect on this issue and build tangible steps for a future without this horrific violence.

Our discussion will follow these community norms (and anymore you want to add!)
P – Participate and/or Pass (when it is your time to talk)
R – Respect One Another’s Personhood
O – Oops/ouch (address and acknowledge offensive language and discomfort if/when it comes up)
C – Confidentiality (stories stay but lessons leave); Safe Space vs. Brave Space
E – Engage with new ideas
S – Space: SHARE IT!
S – Silence your cell phones...but not each other
S – Self Care: if you need to step away (but we all have the responsibility to come back and engage)
